• Sr. Wooly - "Tarde" (2025)

Using musicality, pedestrian movement, and acting, I worked with a cast of 14 dancers to choreograph Sr. Wooly’s educational video, “Tarde.” “Tarde” combined comedy, theatrics and just enough thriller-esque elements to teach people how to tell time in Spanish and remind us that “todos perdemos el tiempo,” we all lose time!

  • Converging Consciousness - Praize Productions Presents "Smells Like Freedom" (2019)

Set to music from Janet Jackson’s groundbreaking album “Rhythm Nation 1814,” “Converging Consciousness” asks us to listen to each other rather than talking “at” each other to achieve our goals of liberation and empowerment. Using tap dance as the medium, I worked with the Praize Productions Youth Dance Academy to craft a piece that aligned with the messages of freedom, equality and Black empowerment present in Praize Productions’ annual production “Smells Like Freedom” presented at the Logan Center for the Performing Arts.

dance projects

I have more than 20 years of training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop and contemporary. I've been dancing professionally as a freelance artist in Chicago since 2016, performing at events including the 2017 Taste of Chicago Dance Peace Parade and the 2018 IamFest at the House of Blues. I've danced as an apprentice with Noumenon Dance Ensemble where I performed works choreographed by Kristi Andarcia, April Torneby and Alia Simon Montijo. I also performed works choreographed by Reesie Davis and Nicole Clarke Springer as part of Praize Productions, Inc.'s Rize Pro-Elite dance company. In December 2018 I was one of the dancers in the music video for  Grammy Award-nominated Pastor Charles Jenkins' single "Can't Turn Back."

I also teach and choreograph. I've created pieces for Tonik Tap, Northwestern University's premier tap company, Praize Productions' Rize Youth Company and Glenwood Dance Studio.
